Sun-soaked streets, vibrant beats, and an endless summer—welcome to Miami.
Known for its electric energy and year-round sunshine, Miami, coined the Magic City, is more than just a tropical getaway — it’s a melting pot of experiences and things to do. We’re excited to share a peak into this vibrant city, curated with a ViX twist, of course. This post uncovers the must-see spots, chic eats, and the kind of moments only a trip to Miami can offer through the lens of our social media maven, Maria Duda (internally known as Senior Marketing Analyst).
A Trip to Miami: Inside Maria Duda’s Itinerary
Work trips certainly come with their perks. On a recent visit to our Merrick Park store while on a trip to Miami, Maria Duda savored moments that allowed her to soak in the magic of the city in true ViX fashion. Whether you have hours or days to spare for your next vacation, here is a glimpse inside her Miami itinerary – take notes!
What To Do In Miami
Beach Day - A trip to Miami without taking a dip in the turquoise waters is unheard of. The ocean is arguably what defines Florida’s coastline. “I loved spending time at South Pointe Beach. They offer cabanas and beach bed rentals for tanning,” shares Maria Duda, who, hailing from Brazil, knows exactly what a great beach day entails.
Boat Fun - A beach day should definitely be on the agenda—but even better? “Rent a boat for the day and enjoy Miami's beautiful weather from the water,” suggests Maria Duda. Biscayne Bay offers a little slice of paradise, with stunning views of the city skyline.

Where To Eat In Miami
Mandolin Aegean Bistro
Tucked away in a charming setting, Mandolin brings the flavors of Greece to the heart of Miami. “Everything on the menu that I had was delicious,” gushes Maria Duda, highlighting the restaurant’s irresistible Mediterranean offerings.
Call Me Gaby
An ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or dinner with its chic, al fresco ambiance and indulgent Italian dishes. “When you get to your table, it’s like entering a magical garden. I highly recommend the Watermelon Salad and the Strozzapreti Pasta Alla Nerano.”
Little Hen
For a storybook brunch experience, Little Hen is a must-visit during your trip to Miami. “It has a true fairytale vibe to it.” Like stepping into a dollhouse, this whimsical spot offers dainty decor and delightful dishes.
Art & Shopping In Miami
Miami’s Design District - The Design District is a no brainer but it surely is a must-visit if you’re in Miami. You’ll find that this area is home to upscale boutiques, more art galleries, and plenty of trendy restaurants and cafes.
Wynwood Walls - Miami is known for its vibrant art scene so it’s no surprise Maria Duda made a stop at Wynwood Walls. It’s a fun and casual outdoor museum showcasing large-scale murals created by talented street artists. She notes that, “you’ll also find many art galleries and cool shops worth checking out, too.”
Maria Duda wears the Lais Long Cover Up Dress in Bayside from our Resort 25 collection (also Sofia's favorite that she brought along on her trip to Rome). Explore more Cover Ups from ViX.
ViX at Merrick Park - Wrap your trip to Miami with a visit to The Shops at Merrick Park, a two-level open-air mall in the heart of Coral Gables, known for its blend of luxury and boutique shopping. One spot not to miss? The ViX store of course, where you can experience the brand in person.
There’s something unique about browsing in-store—the chance to see and feel the pieces firsthand. “I loved visiting the ViX store during my trip to Miami, exploring the layout, seeing the latest collection up close, and watching customers light up when they found something special,” shares Maria Duda.
If you’re in the area, consider adding the ViX store at Merrick Park to your itinerary—maybe we’re biased, but we can’t think of a better spot to discover something new.
