Fabiana Bello Teixeira is one of many inspirational CASA ViX instructors. For Camila Cordeiro dos Santos, CASA ViX represents a return to her roots and a chance to give back to the community. Camilaās journey with ViX began in 2011 as a fashion designer. Her love for embroidery, however, started long before thatāat the age of 12, when she learned the craft from her aunt.
"Iāve been teaching at CASA ViX since the very first Freehand Embroidery course,ā Camila explains. āItās been a transformative experience, both personally and professionally. I found the perfect opportunity to share my passion for embroidery with people who might not otherwise have access to professional courses.ā
Camila shares the rich history and cultural significance of embroidery, helping students appreciate its evolution across cultures and its modern-day applications. She hopes to equip them with the skills and mindset to navigate the job market, start independent ventures, or launch service-based businesses.
"In my classes, I want my students to see the versatility of embroidery,ā she says. āThe techniques they learn can be applied to fashion, accessories, interior design, and even contemporary art. This opens up a world of creative and professional opportunities.ā
